The T-70 X-wing starfighter is an update to the classic T-65B X-wing starfighter built for use by the New Republic Starfleet. More expensive and sophisticated than the previous T-65B, the T-70 had advanced weapons, proved more versatile than its predecessor, and was necessary in both air combat and combat operations. Suitable S-foil designs allowed for a wider range of fire, while four KX12 laser guns offered single, double and quadruple shooting modes. A built-in dual proton torpedo launcher with fast-changing cartridges allowed the use of alternative equipment.
