The species Tyrannosaurus Rex (rex means "king" in Latin), commonly abbreviated as T. Rex, is one of the best represented large beasts. The Tyrannosaurus was a bipedal sarcophagus with a huge skull balancing on a long, heavy tail. In relation to its large and strong hind limbs, the front limbs of the Tyrannosaurus were short but unusually strong for their size and had two toenails. It was one of the last non-flying dinosaurs that existed before the Cretaceous-Paleogene extinction event.
