Bismarck (1:1200)

Bismarck, the flagship of the German Navy, was the largest German warship next to Tirpitz and had a displacement of 50,900 t and a crew of 2,092. Commissioned on 24 August 1940 and sailed on 18 May 1941 for Operation Rhine.

However, along with the Prinz Eugen, it was discovered early by British aerial reconnaissance. When Hood was rendezvoused, she was sunk by Bismarck on 24 May 1941. After a long chase, she was hit by an aircraft torpedo on 26 May 1941 and attacked by the British battleships King George V and H.M.S. On 27/05 his own crew sinks the Bismarck 490 km off the French coast.
